Is a dynamic Q&A site useful in a school/organization?

Something like StackOverflow or Quora, but self-hosted.
I have found two interesting options: OSQA and Shapado.

I can see it becoming a very interesting resource for new staff, also for collaboration, peer to peer asynchronous sharing of best practices in the classroom...
